Congratulations to Thuy Nguyen for passing her PhD defense today. Thuy usually attends the 5AM class and has been a loyal member for several years now. She is a very kind and humble hard worker so there is no surprise that she earned her title of Dr. Nguyen. First to break the news was Samantha from 5AM class and mentioned that Thuy had to defend her research over a zoom meeting. Who would of thought!? Samantha also mentioned that Thuy’s dissertation examined models to predict HIV transmission rates in Iowa. I would imagine a huge weight was lifted off Thuy’s shoulders! Congratulations once again Dr. Nguyen! :)
